Marginalisation;
Pushed aside, only speak when spoken to,
Categorised and stereotyped,
Then shelved, expendable goods,
Oversee the hood, watching,
Make a wrong move, it comes down on you,
With such weight, you’re a pancake,
No sense of it can I make, surely for heaven’s sake,
They have something to contribute,
More than just their muscle and blood,
But the ill wind keeps blowing,
Shrieking they huddle from the fear,
Imposed and beaten from birth,
Sure they know no better, obey to the letter,
That’s the norm, pity,
Some feel out of place, fallen from grace,
Bewildering look on their face,
Left out, not in for a shout,
But nothing matters, dreams are in tatters,
All you can do is try,
Always asking the question,
WHY.
